To all the people in the house tonight, can you feel it?

...To those who live under the street lights at night, can YOU feel it? - Set it off, TFK

So something is happening in our world. Out there, something is happening. It's changing. Something is being set in motion. It's...it's like a revolution. A quiet one, but it's happening.

So, to all my people in the house tonight, can you feel it?

Yeah, I know about the floods, and the crazy airfares, and the wars and economically speeking, heard these times compared to the 1930s, not to mention the "You'll die if you don't vote for this guy" in Zimbabwe. And all that.

Thousand Foot Krutch has this to tell us:
Take the time, to learn to breathe,
'cause some day we're going under,
When did we, all fall asleep?
Won't someone wake us?

Yet Switchfoot tells us we are awakening:
Here we are now with the falling sky and the rain,
We're awakening
Here we are now with our desperate youth and the pain,
We're awakening
Maybe it's called ambition, you've been talking in your sleep
About a dream, we're awakening

I agree. We are awakening.

Did you hear how China's Christians are moving for religious freedom?
Did you hear about the new bridge in Jerusalem?
Did you hear how the US soldiers are compensating the Afghanis for war damage?

Something's happening. Our world is changing.

I want to wake up kicking and screaming
I want to wake up kicking and screaming
I want to live like I know what I'm leaving
I want to know that my heart's still beating
It's beating... it's beating...
I'm bleeding
- Awakening, Switchfoot

Herald in a new era
Of common man and destiny
Of mighty towers and machines
Of rival factions bursting forth
Roaring as one

What's our cry?
We want freedom!
What's our goal?
We want freedom!

What's stoppin us?
